Nostalgia Ti Frega is a photographic exploration of memory, identity, and place that focuses on the emigrant community of a Sicilian village destroyed by an earthquake 40 years ago. This paper outlines the key influences across disciplines that have shaped the creative framework of the project and was presented at the ISEA2011 International Symposium of Electronic Art in Istanbul, September 2011.
